Kartiers FC 2-0 Dunnington Kartiers FC's league campaign picked up momentum with a comfortable victory over a rather tetchy Dunnington side. Ryan Watson made his debut in place of the flu hit Luke Crowther with Glen Littlewood starting his first game in three weeks in place of the injured Jon James. Only nine minutes were on the clock when Kartiers took the lead, Tweedie's mazy run and shot were too hot for the Dunnington keeper to handle and Michael Braithwaite was on hand to tap home the rebound. Andrew Richardson made it two on the half hour mark after tremendous work by Josh O'Neill and Littlewood should have made it three just before half time but the Kartiers wingman delayed his shot long enough for the Dunnington keeper to make a smothering save. Dunnington's response was a very physical approach and how the visiting number ten stayed on the field after what can only be described as an assault on James Barrett simply beggars belief. The match officials leniency set the tone for the rest of the game with niggly tackles and spiteful challenges becoming the norm as the game petered out into a bitty affair. Neither keeper was troubled during a simply awful second half, spoilt by the poor pitch conditions and blustery wind but Kartiers FC weren't complaining as they kept in touch with the league leaders with three vital points. The 2nd X1 meanwhile suffered yet another defeat despite taking the lead at Dunnington through Rory Murphy. Glaring errors cost them dear as Dunnington hit back to maintain their unbeaten start to the season in a 3-1 victory.
