Q What is your marital Status? Married to Louise

Q Do you have children? Two girls

Q Where do you live now? South Duffield

Q What is your occupation now? Joskin

Q Occupation during your time with Kartiers? Joskin

Q Can you remember when you signed for Kartiers FC and how it all came about?

Mick Giles got me to go on a Scarborough tour. Think it was the one were he turned up with the playing kit still wet after he forgot to dry it

Q How difficult was it going to a new club and did you know anyone at Kartiers before you signed?

Not a problem I just let my football do the talking

Q Did you have a nickname during your career / time at Kartiers? DB

Q Who did you play for before and after Kartiers? Selby RUFC

Q What do you remember about your Kartiers debut? It wasn't long enough and I was probably crap

Q Any games in particular stand out from your time at the club?

Coming on as sub against the rangers at Selby Town complete with a bleached Gazza cut, and people thinking I must be a decent player a misunderstanding that was put right as soon as I had my first touch

Q Best moment? Shining one in against the Aberdeen for my first goal

Q Worst moment? Having said goal disallowed for offside

Q Did you ever go on the legendary tour of Scarborough and if so what are your memories of those tours?

Skying one over the bar from 2 yards out. Apparently the ball was later found in Peasholme Park. Our first time in the Rangers club with doctor death behind the bar. Singhys wonder goal from the kick off and the bottle of spirits that nearly killed him. Me, mick Giles and John Mountford going to the water park instead of the pub and having to hire see through shorts. All good fun but I never got enough football

Q Who was the best player you played with and against during your time with Kartiers?

Mark Lucas and John Glavin were my favourites

Q Who was the best player you played with during your whole career? They all looked good to me

Q What were the highlights of your Kartiers career? Being selected for a league game as sub (not used)

Q Who was / were your best friend(s) during your time with Kartiers? Gilo and John Mountfield

Q Do you still keep in contact with any of your old Kartiers team-mates?

See Above. And always nice to bump into Kendo and the boys up town

Q Who was the best manager you played under (and at which club)?

Kendo heads the list of one. Although he lost me with the one about the defence being tied together with a piece of string and then consigned me to footballs scrap heap when he took me off the list of registered players to make room for some hot new signings. He went a bit weird during the Vic Ferrari years but still a hero of local football

Q Who was the biggest influence on your football career? Wouldn't want to blame anyone

Q What was the best goal you scored for Kartiers? Are you taking the piss

Q What was the best goal you saw another Kartiers player score?

Richard Singh in Scarborough. From the kick-off, he went down the wing, cut into the box and slotted it home

Q What honours did you win during your career? Non

Q Can you recall your last game and why you stopped playing? Scarborough tour started to clash with harvest

Q Any regrets? Never played a league game

Q Do you keep an eye on Kartiers progress / results and if so what do you think? Impressed

Q Do you ever watch Kartiers now or if not, when was the last time you saw them? Only when I go to Tescos

Q Who were the real characters at Kartiers during your time with the club?

Willy always had a good story or two on the bus to Scarborough

Q Do you have any regrets about your football career? How long have you got

Q What do you think about being featured on a website?

Very surprised. During my rugby career I was always glad of the football experience and being able to wear those silky football shorts, even if it was as a non playing sub. This last year I have played irregularly for real cliff vets where my speed and skill have caused little or no problems to opposition defenders. I will always be grateful for the time I spent at Kartiers and the faith put in me by Kendo. Good luck to you all at KFC
