Fantasy Football Hints and Tips
=========================

Firstly id like to point out that this guide is by no means a cert way to picking a winning team, just to help and give you options to consider for when a team is selected.

Having only have 60m to spend, my advice is to spend money on five or six world class players to get a guaranteed weekly points tally and then try and get 'lucky' with your remaining cash to get bargains.

With the way points are scored, its beneficial to buy goalscoring players from as many positions as possible. Simple enough advice, but then consider value for money terms for different positions. Spending heavily on strikers will only benefit if he will be the top premiership scorer, otherwise... its better to spend less on a forward who'll play first team football and get you a few goals anyway so that you can spend heavily on other areas, concentrate on clean sheets and scoring midfielders.

Pick attacking players from clubs that get promoted, they're cheap and will get you points as someone has to score at their club don't they?

3m SHU Hulse 65pts   and consider...                  (points as of 21st Jan)
2m SHU Webber 41pts
3m REA Lita 55pts   7.5m TOT Keane 35pts
3m REA Doyle 88pts   7m LIV Bellamy 64pts
2m WAT Young 73pts   6.5m EVE Beattie 38pts
(injured Nov - out for season) 3.5m WAT King 26pts   6.5m LIV Crouch 61pts

Also, consider the clean sheet bonus defenders from clubs whom don't concede very often. For e.g. A Bolton defender is likely to claim more clean sheets over the season than a player from Newcastle. 7 Managers went with Newcastle defenders this season.

Try and stay clear of fringe players from top clubs, good players as they are, they wont get any points at all if they aren't getting games. Better to buy a player from a lesser club for same price who will play week in week out.
